Default Domain Controller unreachable when outside company LAN

I have SLED11 (2.6.27.29-0.1-pae) on a Dell D630 laptop.

I've brought the computer home before and used a VPN to gain access to the company. Worked like a charm then. But now suddenly, the network seem blocked in the laptop when I'm outside the company LAN. I cannot even get out on the internet. If I reboot to try another kernel version, booting stops at when initalizing the network, waiting for something to repond from the company LAN, I guess.

When I sudo I get this message (from pam_winbind I googled):
"Domain Controller unreachable, using cached credentials instead. Network resources may be unavailable"

ifconfig and iwconfig seem normal. wlan0 is connected to my WLAN and have received an IP-adress from the DHCP and states UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST. I guess I could get the actual ouput out using a memory stick, but as I said, everything looks ok, so I guess I should look elsewhere anyhow.

What could this be? I haven't got a faintest idea to where to start looking. The only thing I can think of is a kernel upgrade which was pushed out a few weeks ago. I haven't done anything else that I can imagine would affect this.

Best regards,
Henrik Leion
