SP2 is a nightmare (GRUB ERROR)

Sorry to anyone looking for this late follow up:


Thanks to Novell support people, who tried to figure out what going wrong.

However in this PC only - partly result of it being made from older pcs and newer parts the 64bit version of SLED 10 sp2 just did not like something in my pc and unable to resolve the shutdown problem - which was the only problem experienced.


So installed the 32 bit version and everything - including shutdown, has worked fine since then.
