Default Firefox 3.0.12 on SLED10 can't accept self-signed certs

After updating to the SLED10-packaged Firefox 3.0.12, I can no longer accept self-signed SSL certs. When I visit such a site, I get the usual error dialog with the "Click here to add an exception" link, which I click. Then the error dialog expands to present two buttons: "Get me out of here" and "Add Exception". Clicking either button does nothing - the dialog box stays open and nothing happens on the web page beneath the dialog.

I have tried renaming my .mozilla directory, same results. Also tried on a different SLED 10.2 workstation with a brand-new, never-before-used user account starting Firefox 3.0.12 for the first time- same results, the Add Exception button is broken.

I use Firefox 3 on my Ubuntu and Mac machines so I've seen and understand the new exception-adding process.
