Default How to configure Huges pages for Oracle on orarun

Hi,

I have a SLES 10 SP1 server running Oracle 10g.
I have 9G of RAM, and I would like to use the hugepages possibility.
I have installed the orarun package. And I tried to follow the instruction given by Oracle on how to use Hugepages on SLES 10.
Just by changing the NR_HUGE_PAGES=0 setting to ours NR_HUGE_PAGES=936 in the /etc/sysconfig/oracle file.
But it does not work.

While reading the /etc/sysconfig/oracle, I see that we might need to mount a /mnt/huge file system of type hugetlbfs.
I try to use the command as proposed by the /etc/sysconfig/oracle. But it is rejected.

Any idea?

In a previous deployment of Oracle, but on SLES 9, we needed to mount a ramfs file system to be used by the huge pages. So I believe I am missing something here.

Thanks in advance

Philippe
