Default lost some interrupts at 1024Hz

For at least the last six months or so, I've been seeing my syslog fill
up with messages like this:

kernel: rtc: lost some interrupts at 1024Hz.

It's usually hundreds per second. Eventually, Syslog just stops logging
and I have to restart syslog, at which point, the messages start pouring
in again.

This server is an HP Proliant ML350G3, older box, but was an original
fresh load of SLES10 right when it came out. It's been fairly regularly
patched, currently running this kernel:

2.6.16.54-0.2.5-bigsmp #1 SMP Mon Jan 21 13:29:51 UTC 2008 i686 i686
i386 GNU/Linux

Can anyone tell me what this message means and what can I do to get rid
of it? The box runs fine as far as I can tell. It started happening
after I took a kernel patch at some point. I'm thinking about applying
SP2, but I'm not sure if that will fix anything.

Thanks.

Matt
