Keyboard unsresponsive at login screen

I have a SLES 10 server where the keyboard is unresponsive at the GUI login screen. The keyboard works fine at the DOS level, and when I boot into failsafe mode.

I've tried both PS2 and USB keyboards with the same response. Is there a way to fix this?
