Default SLES9 with HP hardware RAID: how to enlarge file system after RAIDextension?

This might be a FAQ, but still I do not have the relevant information at
hand: after installing additional hard drives I used the HP RAID
configuration tool to extend an existing RAID0 to RAID5 with double
capacity. This was done on the running system.
Now the HP tool tells me that the size of /dev/cciss/c0d2 was increased,
but fdisk -l shows the old number of blocks:

Disk /dev/cciss/c0d2: 500.0 GB, 500074307584 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 60797 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/cciss/c0d2p1 1 60797 488351871 8e Linux LVM

Will the partition table be adjusted upon a reboot or what else has to
be done in order to be able to increase the size of the LVM partition
/dev/cciss/c0d2p1?
