Reinstall SLES 10 & Activation Code

Hi,

I need information about activation code and reinstalling the SLES 10.

I have a SLES 10 registered with an activation code with 3year sub.
Recently, i updated system with a kernel patch but no boot after.
I don't want to resolve this issue because this server is on test.

Could i format this server et install SLES 10 without activation code ?
How it works when the activation code is in NCC and want to reinstall it ?
Could i copy a key from this server and paste to new installation ?
