yes you can use yast, but I would use the zlm client (in case it is sles 10) to remove the existing source and add a new one. Scripting is easier then using yast to do that on a lot of different server.
1. run "rug sl" which should show a list of existing installation sources
2. "rug sd <service number>" would remove that service
3. "rug sa -t zypp dir:///sles10sp2 SLES" would add the local dir
Then you can check in yast that you see the new source.

instead of a dir:///
