SLES 11 intallation failed
I tried to install the downloaded and burned from the iso mirror file SLES-11-DVD-x86_64-GM-DVD1.iso DVD on a brand new machine (lenovo with a Pentium Duol Core E5200) but it failed.
During the initial installation, a lot of items were missing and I skipped them to finish the process.
the system check resulted is:
- Check Boot Loader Configuration (error) /etc/modprobe.conf not found (and could not be recreated in repair attempt)
- installing a new bootloader failed.
I was expecting that all necessary stuff is in such a install download.
Does the 64 in the filename mean 64 bit and could that be the problem? I suppose my pc is anyway 64-bit enabled...
any ideas?
