Default Automounter with and without NS broken?

hi,

i had no luck to get automounter working with SLES SP1/SP2 as client. I
have installed SLES SP1 which is the NIS Master and NFS Server.

On the client i see:

pxe1:~ # rcautofs status
Checking for service autofs: unused
Configured Mount Points:
/usr/sbin/automount /home yp /etc/auto.home
------------------------

Active Mount Points:
--------------------

So, i installed Debian and, what should i say ... it works
out-of-the-box. So NIS and NFS are working on the SLES SP1 server.

any suggestions?
