SLES9 winbind problem after online update
Hi,
I updated samba from 3.0.26a-0.7-1616-SUSE-SLES9 to 3.0.26a-0.9-1787-SUSE-SLES9. When I start samba I get the following error messages:
kernel: open files rlimit 1024 reached for uid 0 pid 8028
kernel: open files rlimit 1024 reached for uid 0 pid 7972
winbindd[7974]: [2008/06/22 18:25:56, 0] libsmb/credentials.c:creds_client_check(324)
winbindd[7974]: creds_client_check: credentials check failed.
winbindd[7974]: [2008/06/22 18:25:56, 0] rpc_client/cli_netlogon.c:rpccli_netlogon_sam_network_logon(1 019)
winbindd[7974]: rpccli_netlogon_sam_network_logon: credentials chain check failed
kernel: open files rlimit 1024 reached for uid 0 pid 8028
kernel: open files rlimit 1024 reached for uid 0 pid 7972
The pids 7972 and 8028 are both winbind processes. We are runnig a new windows domain in Windows Server 2003 mode with a trust relationship to an old Windows NT domain. The SLES9 server is a member of the old NT domain. Everything worked well until the update to the "new" samba version. Now when connecting to the samba server there sometimes is a significant delay.
Any suggestions how to track down this winbind problem?
