Default Registering ip address / hostname with nameserver/dns

Hi,
I've just built a SLES 11 machine. It has 2 nics, one static and one dhcp. I'm trying to get the dhcp address registered with the corporate nameserver / dns.

I have a pretty much standard dhcp config file for dhcpcd. In the comments, it states that some dhcp servers will update nameserver entries - what other ways are there to update name server entries?

We are pretty much a windows shop - so it's probably a windows server that is running as the name server. A couple of windows clients I've built have updated the nameserver with no problem.

Thanks,
Bryan.
