ip_forward persistent, survive reboot

how can I get ip forwarding to be persistant?

I have edited /etc/sysctl.conf but it is not working
net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1

I got it. Edit the line FW_ROUTE="yes" with the " " the file is located in /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2

I also have IP_FORWARD="yes" in /etc/sysconfig/sysctl
