Default Network not automatically coming up.

My network does not come up automatically. However, if I go into yast and make any kind of change, like removing the second of my two dns servers, the interface comes up.

It seems like yast is doing something to start up the networking that the /etc/init.d/network is not.

Here is my dmesg:

server:~ # dmesg |grep eth0

eth0: Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5708 1000Base-SX (B2) PCI-X 64-bit 133MHz found at mem dc000000, IRQ 169, node addr 002219c45197
bnx2: eth0: using MSI
eth0: no IPv6 routers present
bnx2: eth0 NIC Remote Copper Link is Down
bnx2: eth0: using MSI
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready
bnx2: eth0 NIC Remote Copper Link is Up, 1000 Mbps full duplex, receive & transmit flow control ON
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth0: link becomes ready
eth0: no IPv6 routers present
server:~ #

Here is /var/log/messages after I have been in yast:
