upgrade from 9 to OES 10

Hi,
I need to upgrade my SuSE 9 servers to 10. They are currently in a cluster. I think I have OES 9 running, this is what comes back when I run cat /etc/SuSE-release:

SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 (i586)
VERSION = 9
PATCHLEVEL = 3

First, is this OES 9? If so, then is it ok to do an upgrade to 10?

Novell document #3647244 says "Do not upgrade an Open Enterprise Server (OES) server based on SLES 9 to SLES 10. Doing so will break the OES functionality."

What should I do then?
