SLES11 SMT update from itself

There was a tip regarding getting a SLES10 server to update from its own local SMT repository here:
Enabling SMT server to consume updates from its own repositories

That seemed to work well for SLES10. However, in SLES11, many things seem to have changed (no rug particularly).

So I wonder how can achieve the same result with SLES11 SMT?
