Default INFORMATION NEEDED WHEN POSTING XEN QUESTIONS

Hi all,

In an effort to make this forum much easier, I would like to recommend that you post the following with an Xen question:

-- Which version of SLE and service pack
-- The guest type and mode of virtualization, i.e HVM or FV Windows, or PV SLE
-- /var/log/boot.msg
-- "xm info"
-- /var/log/xen/xend.log
-- For networking, "brctl show", /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth*, /etc/sysocnfig/network/ifcfg-br*
-- For Windows problems: version of VMDP
-- For all guest related problems, "xm info -l <DOMU_NAME>" and /etc/xen/vm/<DOMU> file.

The reason why I have posted this is that many post, but the context behind the problem is so light that those of us that are farmiliar with Xen don't have a clue where the problem might be. If you can take a little time to post these as attachments, then you might get better and faster answers.

Scrub the information appropriately -- any file with a public IP address should not be posted.
