Default VMDP Network Issues with Windows 2003 on SLES 10 SP2

Hello all,

i have a strange network issue with the Virtual Machine Driver Pack for SLES 10 SP2 on a Windows Server 2003 R2 VM. It's probably related to Xen (bridging) or the VMDP. The following is my setup:

Xen host: SLES 10 SP2, fully patched, 192.168.123.224
VM: SLES 10 SP2, paravirtualized, DNS Server, 192.168.123.226
VM: Windows 2003 Server R2, full virtualization, 192.168.123.63

When i install the VMDP on the windows VM i am not able to use a DNS server running on the Linux VM any more. The Windows VM can ping the Linux VM, the Windows VM is reachable via rdesktop. For debugging reasons i put "dig" on the Windows VM, it times out when doing:

dig @192.168.123.226 bla

Now, when the same Windows VM is running on another Xen Host, there are no issues with DNS, the dig command works too.

To sum up, the networking problem appears,

- when the Xen drivers are installed on the Windows VM

and

- when the Windows VM is running on the same host as the Linux DNS Server VM.

Anyone got an idea what might be wrong?

Magnus
