auto start and shutdown import not working

I'm following TID #3029956 and 3466408 to configure my XEN DomU to auto-start and shutdown.

The host is SLES 10 SP2 64-bit
The DomU are OES2 SP1 Linux 32-bit

I can export the config file just fine.
I can use vi and edit the file just fine
I run the import as:
xm new -F machine.py

I've got my other DomU setup this way and they all seem to work, but I've got 2 DomU that just don't seem to take the change.

Even though no errors are reported, if I export the VM config file again, it's reverted back to "ignore" for startup and shutdown.
