That's what I did, too. I don't have the exact resource syntax at hand - an easy method to get a sample would be to define a DomU with ISO access per virt-manager (you add the ISO similar to disk files, there's a CDROM check box, iirc).

From my experience that'd be good starting point. (The messages there should be the same as you get with invoking "xm log" from the CLI.). If any har errors or configuration problems occured, they should be reported in that log.
