Thx for reading & answering my post. My investigation came to the same
result. Dur the fact that there was a few different browsers an OS in the
testing it was a little bit confusing myself ...

At the end:
If the PC has a pdf reader installed AND the browser config is correct(TM),
than you will see the PDF directly. But the opening of files from the
internet is dangerous and so in the most cases the default setting are to
ask the user if he want to save or open the file. I think you can handle
this with the zone setting in IE and with a Add-On in Firefox.

The use of the Teaming internal pdf viewer is smart but the results of the
rendering are poor.
