Default Can Teaming setup reset post office Client Options?

We recently installed a test instance of Teaming and simultaneously we lost
access to NNTP in GroupWise. After some mistaken finger pointing at our
firewall, I discovered the NNTP checkbox in Client Options for our PO was
unchecked. No other maintenance to the PO had been performed. Is it
possible that setting up Teaming for a PO can reset some configured options
for that PO?
