I don't know if this is helpful. I still get the same messages since I started this thread. I hope you can see what is going wrong.

In the browser-window I see this:

Unable to complete .
Details:

.. when I try to make an alert. It doesn't make a difference if I wan't to mail the alert or store it on the server. I always get the same message in the browser-window.

I am going off memory here but they will be on the your task server under Program Files, Novell, Asset Management in a folder callled logs. It will be date time stamped and have the work TaskSvr in the title of the text file.

Read what you find in there to see what error messages are coming back.
