Default Adaptive Agent/CDP on a Linux Server?

I am currently testing and designing our new ZCM10 system. I have a "topology" question.

I've got 7 networks seperated by WAN. I'd like to have a Content Distribution Point at each building. They typically each have only one server, running all services. I do not want to install the full blown ZCM Server to these boxes. This summer they will be migrated to new machines with SLES10/OES2.

Can I deploy the adaptive agent on a linux server and make it a CDP? Or do I need Linux Management to do that? If I can't, what would you recommend?

Thanks for any and all input guys!
