So will you go on further using dynamic groups or registration into folders by using rules? That's why I asked about the purpose :) For myself I have registration rules based on IP - so every new agent is put into a dedicated location folder. It's a good base for me but I had need for some additional flexibility as there are mobile users around (the location container is still of use as it's also used to give remote admins control over their devices by assigning the rights).
As I don't trust in dynamic groups to solve the problem (those are recalculated once a day...wouldn't help me a lot), I use another approach (which solves some missing feature from ZDM/ZFS for me too):

- for every location I have a directive bundle with system requirement to IP segment, inside each bundle a bunch of environment variable is set (server name, install/program share base etc.), SETX is used to push the variables into machine context
- all bundles are put together into a "LAN sets" bundle group, there's a first file bundle to push SETX.EXE to workstations when needed
- the bundle group is assigned to deploy/run during "Device boot"

Effect: Other bundles can take advantage of the environment variable set (either simply in execution string or as system requirement), so for a lot of bundles I need a single application which can be used by every workstation.

Just wanted to share it.

Regards
Dirk
