New ZCM 10.2 Install

Getting ready to install ZCM 10.2 on a Windows 2003 R2 SP2 server. Is there an advantage to installing the server into a domain rather than a stand alone workgroup. Currently have about 1,000 workstations that currently connect to a Netware server running ZFD 7 and all the workstations are in a workgroup and not a domain.
