Default Re: Simple file sharing?

Thanks for replying. It is on one of my lab PCs running in VMware, and the problem persists even if I delete the workstation object from the edirectory and/or log on locally to the computer (but the change is applied before logon anyway). There are no applications or groups associated with the workstation. The few Novell policies are OU-wide and the problem is machine-specific. There are no Microsoft group policies applied except for WSUS. Some googleing seems to indicate that pretty much everyone who's having this, not uncommon, problem is running Zenworks 6.5. Removing priviligies on the registry prevents the forceguest value to change, but also prevents all the other keys under control/lsa to be written to, and it is unknown to me what that may cause.

The virtual machine is a clean XP sp2 with Novell 4.91 and Zen 6.5.20.0.

It is not that big of a deal, except it is annoying since I cannot connect to c$, but still...
