Simple file sharing?

I'm doing some consulting, so I'm in an unfamiliar system.

ZfD65, not sure what agent level they're using.

When I remove the agent and then disable simple file sharing it stays unshared.

When I reinstall the agent I get simple file sharing enabled.

It appears that the "fix" that they're trying to push out to fix this issue simply disables simple file sharing after user authentication, which then doesn't take effect until reboot, at which time it's enabled again, at which point it is disabled at user login, ad infinitem, etc.

I am unaware of a ZfD local machine setting that would enable simple file sharing... can anyone help me here?
