Using Addon images to deliver network printers ?

Hi all:

My apologies in advance in case my inquiry has been posted/answered in the
past (I tried to use the search function but it would time out on me).

I was wondering whether anyone has ever created an addon image or some
other utility that would allow a newly imaged PC to automatically install
IP based printers? What would be great would be a list that prompts an
admin to select which dept the PC resides; once selected all known network
printers (generated from a list that would be updated over time) are installed.
