Random problem with Workstation Manager authentication between reboots

I hate to bring this back from the dead, however I am experiencing this exact problem in my own network environment. Sporadic authentications (hit or a miss), intermitent policy sucesses/failures, same logged symptoms, we're even using the same eTrust 7.1 antivirus the OP mentioned, however having eTrust services start after ZFDWM does not resolve my issue.

Though I'm using the latest ZDM 7sp1 ir3a HP1 server-side and agents.

Running naldiag reveals the following line "Workstation Helper is Not Connected as" in the App Launcher Component Status area (top right corner)


I noticed at the trail end of this thread it seemed as though the problem was passed on to an internal Novell techie so any resolution was not mentioned here..

Any insight would be a blessing, I'm starting to pull my hair out ;)
