Default Updates to SETTINGS.TXT

In the 6.5 imaging, I had modified the startup scripts in the kernel image
such that it would automatically download a "getfiles" file via TFTP and
then execute it, which then downloaded a few other files to finish setting
up our imaging environment.

In 7, I found the SETTINGS.TXT file in the boot directory that allowed me to
add these commands, which is great, however...

At the end of the getfiles script, it displays a short text menu. When the
file is called during initialization, it obviously runs as the other files
that it transfers are showing up as they are supposed to, however all output
from that file is being supressed, so the menu never displays.

Is there anything that can be placed in the SETTINGS.TXT file to tell it to
go ahead and echo a command's responses?

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
