PIXI Getting stuck at Activating PCMCIA Devices

I have a gateWay 685-E laptop with dual core cpu. I PIXI it to my ZEN
server and it gets a DHCP addy, but when it starts the hardware detection
it just sits at "Activating PCMCIA devices" I'm not even using it. Does
anyone know a way I can skip it from detecting this?
