Zen Freezes

i am trying to image an hp compaq nx9420 and it keeps freezing during different points of the imaging. I noticed it happens when the internal fan shuts off so i did the following..

followed instructions on TID10099782

I don't have any iso editing software so i created a zen floppy disk and booted from that with the settings.txt changed and am trying to do a manual image to our server.

What else can i do? I am using version 7
