Default Imaging script help

I've have seen example scripts that will let me pull the Asset Tag out of the BIOS (using DMIDECODE). We use the Asset Tag as the PC name. Is there a way to pull the Asset Tag during the Imaging process, then pass that to the workstation so that SYSPREP can use it to name the PC? If I can do that, I can have Sysprep name it and add it automatically to our domain. I know I can make Sysprep read the computer name from a file, I just don't know how to get the imaging script to write that file to the PC where it can be read during the Windows setup. Any suggestions?
Thanks
