Need help creating a script

Hi, I am trying to create a DVD that I can send out with some laptops so that if there is a major problem with the machine, it can be easily reimaged. I know that by creating a script and putting it in the /addfiles/bin directory and then adding the export IMGCMD="/bin/myscript.s in the settings.txt file this works. My problem is I want to have a very simple menu come up and warn the user that all info will be lost and give them an option to press "1" to continue or "0" (or any other key) to exit out of the imaging process. Unfortunately I am not up on Linux scripting. We are running Zen 7.
