Default Img Error Codes in Scripting?

Hello,

I have created a boot CD for manual imaging of our workstations. Currently
I have the CD configured to eject and reboot after the imaging has
completed. However, every once in a while, the imaging fails for some
reason (usually because during testing I have forgotten to rename the image
file). In Linux bash scripting, is there some similar line to the DOS
batch "IF ERRORLEVEL" conditional. So if img exists with an error I can
skip having the PC reboot.

Thanks,
