Black screen w/cursor after Zen 7 imaging

I have seen this problem mentioned in threads pertaining to Zenworks
Imaging 6.5, but I thought it was resolved by 7x.

I have a user with a Dell Optiplex GX270 whose hard drive died. I
replaced it with a new (Maxtor IDE ~32GB) drive.

Using a boot CD 7.0.1.4 disk I am bringing down the image okay, but
upon the first reboot, it goes to a black screen with a blinking cursor
in the top left corner.

I tried a number of other images in our library that work on other
machines... same result.

I am about ready to lose it, so if someone has some advice, I would,
you know, buy you a virtual beer or something.
