Dell Latitude d830

Hello,

I have a Dell D830 laptop that I am trying to image.
I had to create a boot cd and load the tg3.ko driver manually
So far, so good. When I try to make an image "img"
does not see the hard drive. I get the error message
"you must select at least one non-empty partition"
though it does not show any.
In device manager the drive model is
ST9120823AS. Bios setting???

Any advice would be appreciated.
