ML370 G5 Imaging

We are testing out imaging an ML 370 G5 and it is going extremely slow. To upload a 2.7Gb image, it took roughly 2 hours. Now, we are pulling it down to another server and it has been going for about 4 hours and has not even reached 50%. Has anybody tried this before? It shows me that is recognized the gigabit ethernet and connected at 100 Full, so I don't think it's that. Could it be the SAS drives? or RAID? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
