"imgserv connect" becomes busiest thread, can't be unloaded

On a NW6.5 SP7 server with ZfD7SP1-IR4 we have the following problem:

Utilization normally is very low, around 3%. Sometimes, not every time, during imaging utilization goes up to 25% and stays there, never goes down again even after all imaging sessions are finished.

Monitor show "imgserv connect" to be the busiest thread with 3,000,000 things. Imgserv cannot be unloaded anymore, only a reboot will bring the utilization back to normal.

At that time it did happen even when we were not doing any imaging and ZfD7SP1-IR3 seemed to take care of it and it actually was fine as long as we did no imaging.

Any suggestions?
