Snapshot deletes registry keys
Greetings.I've read the submission below (the poster with the same kind of
problems)
Currently we are working with Zen 3.2, snappshot version 3.1. After making
a snapshot (and it is NOT a registry size problem: some small apps
experience the same problem) from an application, most registry keys are
noted as delete, in stead of create. We've tried to remedy this odd
behaviour by:
- deleting the profile of the user that created the snapshot (local and
network administrator) and extensively checked that profile for settings
that could relate to the problem (before the delete ofcourse);
- creating the same snapshot on the same machine under a different account
with a deleted NAL cache under both a machine with a WinXP SP1 image and
SP2 image;
- some other things (mostly trying to create work-arounds, scripts, MSI
based installs, Ghost snapshots etc)
When a different administrator snapshots the same app on another machine
he might experience no problem at all. The only thing I notice as a
constant in this is the machine (profiles out of the question). Or I 've
missed something.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Applications that recently choked are:
Nedap PreAbXS Client v3.16,
Exact Globe 2003
Inventor v9
