Thank you for your reply.

It's an customized OpenOffice installation. The users often have OpenOffice or other java-using applications in their autostart.

It would be possible to wait until everthing is running and then try to kill all OpenOffice and Java processes. The problem ist, that sometimes a killed OpenOffice immediatly restarts. Even if we kill all processes it would be an installation with a lot of unknown facts, especially for future installations.

It would be much better to stop the user logon, finish the installation and then let the logon continue.

This seems to be possible with the #nal.exe - call in the login script but we cannot get the called nal-application or the perl script with adminrights to work
