ZfD 4.01 and edir 8.8

I am trying to figure out what will break in ZfD if we go ahead and install edir88.

I realize that ZfD 4.01 is not supported on edir 8.8, but we need to install a number of OES2 servers into our tree and it would seem that Novell is actively prevent us from keeping 8.7.3 with OES2.
