I encountered sasme problem during on e of my pilot installations.
I discovered that the system is not authenticating to the directory.
Once i logged into the directory, zwsreg was successful.
Hope this helps!!!

I think I can help, but first need a few questions answered.
Q. It sounds as if you are using the Middle Tier. Is this correct?
Q. Is client 32 on this workstation?
Q. IS the middle tier on the same server as the import process?
Error code 500 and 401 are the same as page cannot be found in an
internet browser.
I have seen this when the MGMT Agent wasn't able to contact the import
server or process.
So either the address for the import server is incorrect, or the
import
service is running on another server and isn't started.
Also you mentioned that the tree is incorrect. Is happens when the
preferred tree on has been set on the workstation.
I would recommend running zwsreg.exe -unreg
Then making sure that
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Novell\Workstation Manager\IdentificationContains the correct information.
You may also need to go into the Novell client properties(if
installed)
and delete the entry for the incorrect tree.
Look forward to hearing back from you.
