Default Extra information to ZEN DB?

Inventory scanner cannot tell when the workstation has been bought
(warranty
time) and the company specific number that is associated to the
workstation
for example. What are the possibilities if you would like to add
company
specific information (asset mgmt things) about the workstations to ZEN
DB?
BUT, in our case changing information should be done from the
workstation
side by the PC support person who has for example changed the broken
monitor. Is this possible at all?
