Setup did not detect the service mssqlserver installed

I am trying to install a single server implementation of ZESM.

I have win2003 and MS SQL 2005 installed. The MS SQL is configured as per the Novell documentation.

However, everytime I run the installation program I get the following error:

" Setup did not detect the service: mssqlserver is installed....."

SQL is installed and RUNNING.

Any idea????
