Self-destruct clarification

If using Intellisync and a Palm device self-destructs, will it be
restored when the user resyncs at the same PC s/he normally syncs at?
After all, one must install HotSync Manager in order to get the
underlying conduits...

If anyone can provide clarification/proof-of-concept or just tell me
'yes, it works', I'd be much obliged.
