Hello!
I am pretty new to these forums, so I am not sure if this is even where to post. If not, please direct me!!!
This applies to ZenWorks imaging for Zen 6.5, and I am booting and running "manual" mode for this. I am not using the boot partition, or PXE.
I used the imaging utility located at
Cool Solutions: ZENworks Imaging USB v6.5 to make my usb drive bootable. ALL works perfect, with anything under a Dell Vostro 200 (Vostro 220, 320, 300, etc), the drivers will not obviously work. Here is where I have a huge problem.
With my lack of Linux knowledge, I am unable to modify that usb boot utility to incorporate a new driver for these machines. Does anyone know how to do so, or enough about linux to explain it? I have searched for 2 days and tried a lot of things to make it work, including PXE booting, although we can not PXE boot on our network. If you can help, modify and maybe help in any other way, please let me know. I have no idea how to compile a driver for that version of linux on the drive, much less even get the driver inside the linux....Ok...i'll stop talking now, everyone prob understands how lost I am!
Thanks to everyone in advance!
