Fordwillman,

to do it "properly" you would need to buy the "Content Wizard" (used to
be the Patchlink Developer's Kit), I have to say that I don't know the
cost of this, it used to be quite expensive, though. You can create
your own package in ZPM, and deploy that, but not at the same time as
vulnerabilities. So, assuming you're still going to be running ZPM, I
think it boils down to either
1) Buy Content Wizard, create 2 vulnerabilities for pre and post
actions, and make them the first and last things in each deployment
or
2) Create 2 packages for pre and post actions, then for each deployment
you need to do 2 further deployments: firstly pre action, then the
patches, then a third deployment for post action.
Obviously 1) is easiest, and less prone to problems, but there's a cost
involved.
